The Leopold Educational Foundation

Est. 2006

The Leopold Gallery Educational Foundation underwrites the financial needs of Paseo Academy and Sumner Academy in Kansas City. Both of these are stellar urban schools that, without our financial assistance, would not have functioning art departments. Our mission is to get high school seniors into college.

Since 2006, Paul Dorrell has raised $300,000 for Paseo Academy and Sumner Academy. With this funding he has taken 1500 students on educational field trips, helped 800 students get into college, and financed the art departments of each school.

In 2024, Kansas City honored Paul with a Philanthropic Award for his hard work, asking him to deliver a speech about his work in the schools. His speech received raves. Hopefully positive change will follow. We are sponsored by the Greater Kansas City Community Foundation.
